"HI!"
"Shhh..." (whispered)
"PAPA."
"Shh...yes, that's papa, do you want to go see papa?"
"PAPA!! CHEW?"
"Shhh..." (whispered)
"PAPA."
"Shh...yes, that's papa, do you want to go see papa?"
"PAPA!! CHEW?"
I didn't realize my daughter had her own echo...until I tried hushing it after communion.
"SWEATER. SWEATER. SWEATER."
"Shhhh....yes, he's wearing a sweater- shhh."
"HUNGRY? HUNGRY? HUNGRY?
"Shhh...do you want a snack?"
"SNACK. SNACK. SSSSSSNACK."
"Shhhh....yes, he's wearing a sweater- shhh."
"HUNGRY? HUNGRY? HUNGRY?
"Shhh...do you want a snack?"
"SNACK. SNACK. SSSSSSNACK."
Nor did I really give any credence to the adage "Catholic Aerobics"...until my daughter started to "narrate".
"SIT. SIT. SIT."
"STAN. STAN. STAN."
"SIT. SIT. SIT."
"DOWN. DOWN. DOWN."
"STAN. STAN. STAN."
"STAN. STAN. STAN."
"SIT. SIT. SIT."
"DOWN. DOWN. DOWN."
"STAN. STAN. STAN."
I never thought I'd regret teaching my child her colors...until we sat next to the stained glass windows.
"BUE."
"Yes, that's blue"
"Reh"
"Yes, that's red"
"BUE."
"Shhh...Samantha, we have to be quiet."
"NO MOMMY. BUE. BUE. BUE."
"Yes, that's blue"
"Reh"
"Yes, that's red"
"BUE."
"Shhh...Samantha, we have to be quiet."
"NO MOMMY. BUE. BUE. BUE."
And I never thought my child could whisper...until I asked her to say "Bye" to someone after church:

lol, sounds familiar. We were late, sit down next to my parents right as a song ended and prayer started "Umpa!!" (grandpa) Mom gave her the picture flipper out of her wallet during the sermon. Points at her newborn picture "Baby!" Points at our wedding picture "Mama! Papa!" Sees my senior picture and pokes at "Papa! Papa! Papa!" until he looks "See! Mama!" Sees most recent picture of herself "Oooh! Ders Lulu!!!!" And repeat.
Yes, Jocelyn says "Jesus, Allelujah, sing!" and if the pastor prays too long she talks during the pray "more sing! sing! Jesus?" and since we had no toys in her diaper bag I gave her a diaper with which to play. She held it up to Brian "Diaper dry! Bum bum!" (her word for bottom). Then when she starts on the "Breast good other side! nurse nurse nurse!" I take her out to the mommy room to nurse. Then she says "church? dada? sing?" and wants to go back to the service...oh how fun.
LOL! that is so true! love this! my oldest is the same way ... when she thinks no one is looking, she is the star of her own little show. Once I ask her to say something to someone, she is the shyest person ever hiding behind me.
