(Male) Student during a quiz: I don't know this.
Me: Well, I remember you being in class.
Student: I know. I was sleepy.
Me: I understand, but that doesn't mean you don't have to pay attention.
Student: I've been taking care of our new baby. I'm just too tired.
Me: So next semester when I have a kid and am tired, I won't have to do anything at work???
Student: um.....
