A would-be stay at home mom working full-time as a teacher. I teach at my old Highschool, working side-by-side with my own teachers. I blog to keep the Texan grandparents updated and chronicle our life for future reference. (In other words, I don't have a real baby-book or diary.) Comments make my day. Even though I've been back in Nebraska for 8 months, it took until last weekend for me to see some high school friends who lived in town. That's eight months of canceling due to illness, ER visits, holidays, or sleepless nights.

But it was worth the wait!
Four mommies, seven kiddos, no naps, + puppy chow = an excellent play date that deserves a sequel.

Here are the highlights:

Playing hide-and-seek

The whole gang. Note the moves Jackson is putting on Samantha.

She was quite popular with the boys.
And then, on the drive home, a first.

Need me to zoom in there for ya?

Granted, it was only 20 minutes (a change in the pavement woke her up)- but she fell asleep with minimal protest. This, of course, is after I'd complained about how she never falls asleep in the car.
